How Do I Get Notified of New Reservations?

There are several ways to see new reservations in ThinkReservations.

Email Notification

 When a guest makes new reservation through the online booking engine, ThinkReservations can send you a notification to let you know that a new reservation (or gift certificate sale) has been made. To manage where this email goes, go to Settings -> Business Settings. Enter the email address(es) where you'd like to receive the notification email in the field labeled NOTIFICATION EMAIL. You can configure ThinkReservations to send this notification to multiple email addresses if you need to by separating them with a comma. 

You may also opt-in to receive a BCC (blind carbon copy) of the confirmation email that goes out to your guests. You can set up a filter within your email settings to send these to a different folder for future reference. It is useful to receive these in case you need to reference the details of the email sent to a guest. Keep in mind the system will send a BCC of ALL guest and customer emails to the email address(es) provided. This includes all confirmation, reminder, thank you, and any other emails your business sends. To manage where this email goes, go to Settings -> Business Settings. Enter the email address(es) where you'd like to receive the notification email in the field labeled BCC ALL CUSTOMER EMAILS TO. You can configure ThinkReservations to send this notification to multiple email addresses if you need to by separating them with a comma.

Text Message Notification

 We can also send you and/or your team text message updates on new reservations and new gift certificate purchases. If you would like to have this set up, please send an email to support@thinkreservations.com to let us know the mobile phone number(s) where you'd like to receive these notifications.

Reports

 When a new reservation is made by a staff member, a guest online, or through an OTA, the reservation will appear on top of the list in the SALES report. The Sales report is accessible by clicking the Sales link in the black bar at the top. Here is the direct link:

Calendar

 On the main availability calendar, you will see the reservations that exist on the grid. A new reservation will be represented by a new booked room on the grid. This allows you to see the outlook ahead for which rooms you have sold, and what your vacancy is.
