Expedia Information Request Email

You may have noticed that when you receive a reservation through Booking.com, Expedia, and sometimes other channels, it doesn't include all of the information you typically require. To help you efficiently collect all of the details you need, we've created a sample email template you can send to guests that book through Booking.com or Expedia. Note that for now, these emails must be manually triggered. Feel free to modify and customize the content to suit your needs.

Expedia Reservations:

Hello ${customer.first_name},

Thank you for making a reservation at {your property name}! When you made your reservation through Expedia, there was some information we require that Expedia did not collect from you or pass on to us. Please reply with the following:

Second Guest Name

Only your name was listed on the reservation, and we do require that the names of all guests be on file in the event of an emergency. Please email the name(s) for additional guest(s). 

If you are traveling by yourself, let us know, and we'll change the number of guests to "one" on the reservation. 

Estimated Arrival Time

Check-ins are scheduled from {your arrival window}. Please let us know what time you'll be arriving.

Cell Phone & Email Verification

The cell phone number we have on file is ${customer.cell_phone}.

If you would prefer that we email you directly, please provide your personal email address.

Mailing Address

Please provide your complete mailing address.

Dietary Restrictions / Food Allergies

If any of the guests have any dietary restrictions and/or food allergies, please let us know now.

For reference, your Confirmation ID is ${reservation.confirmation_id}.
